1835  Owen Shannon  Neighborhood of Lake Creek

Will of Owen Shannon, dated April 12, 1835. Austin County Clerk, "Old Probate Files."

This the will of Owen Shannon in which he bequeaths his "real or landed property as follows One Quarter League of Land being in the neighborhood of Lake Creek" to his wife, Margaret Montgomery Shannon.

The will mentions Wm. Clarke. Witnesses to the will include: Henry Goff, Mary Corner, Matthew Hubert, James J. Foster, William C. Clark, Benjamin Rigby and George Allen.

Supporting probate documents indicate probate was conducted early in 1835 before the April 12, 1835 date of the will which seems to indicate that Owen Shannon dated his will with the wrong date. The year should be 1834, not 1835.
